As you enjoy the break, we wanted to speak to the community about the complex critiques and attacks on higher education and how we are leading the College through the current uncertainty.

91制片厂, along with our peers across the country, confront a shifting landscape of federal policies affecting higher education.

Given the increasing complexity of the higher education policy landscape in recent weeks, I want to assure you that we are closely monitoring developments and will provide periodic updates to the community through forums such as SGA, Faculty Meetings, and Staff Assembly.

The past month gave me time to rest, recharge, and prepare for the spring semester, and I hope you had the same opportunity.

In conjunction with this year’s observance of the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., I’m reminded of a quote attributed to the iconic civil rights leader:

As you and your families gather to celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, and the start of a new year, I ask that you remember the Burke family as they mourn the death of Gilman Burke, a member of the Hamilton Class of 1954 and a former trustee. He died peacefully Christmas night at the age of 92.
