• Assistance with setting up memberships with  and  (both provide books in audio format—students will need to purchase annual individual memberships and reader software)
• Contacting publishers to inquire about and obtain books and textbooks in electronic formats (audio files)
• Scanning books and articles to create audio files
• Text to speech software on all computer lab machines
• Screen magnification software on all computer lab machines
• A magnifying machine for reading located in the library (primarily for students with visual impairments)
• An Intel Reader for immediate conversion of text to speech (loaned to students through ITS)
• Laptop loans to students for usage in taking essay formatted exams (loaned to students through the Dean of Students Office)
• Access to Dragon Naturally Speaking software which converts speech to text (available on laptops loaned by the Dean of Students Office)

• Students who have mobility concerns may inquire with the Office of Community Living to be moved to a first floor room and/or to a room with accessible bathroom facilities (as space is available). Contact your community advisor, area director or director of community living to discuss availability and options. Please see the community living webpage for more information.
