Assistant professors Viva Horowitz (physics) and Wei Zhan (economics) were approved for tenure at the March meeting of the Board of Trustees.

Anti-ageism activist Ashton Applewhite K鈥�74 is 72 and she鈥檚 good with that. The Decade of Healthy Ageing, a U.N. collaboration with the World Health Organization, recently honored her as one of its Healthy Ageing 50.

Cosmo Castellano 鈥�74, P鈥�11 is committed to keeping his class connected. In addition to his involvement in planning class reunions, including serving as co-chair for his 50th reunion committee, Castellano and classmates started facilitating regular online gatherings during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Although students have only been back on campus for a month-and-a-half, they've been busy attending conferences, presenting research and enjoying experiential learning opportunities.

National and regional news organizations regularly interview Hamilton faculty, staff, alumni, and students for their expertise and perspectives on current events, and to feature programs and activities on campus. February鈥檚 news topics included varied subjects from President Barack Obama鈥檚 upcoming visit to campus to the possible economic and political effects of decisions made by President Donald Trump.

In its second meeting of the 2024-25 academic year, the Hamilton Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa elected 19 members of the Class of 2025.
