Ty Kunzman 鈥�20 plans to celebrate his Hamilton graduation by heading right back to school. In June he鈥檒l begin work on his Master of Education in Student Affairs Practice in Higher Education at the University of Virginia鈥檚 Curry School of Education and Development.

Several Hamilton professors participated in 鈥淚ran, Iraq & the U.S.: Panel & Discussion鈥� on Jan. 22.

Alexei Smith 鈥�19 has known what she鈥檚 wanted out of life since high school, and at the University of Colorado Boulder, she鈥檚 one step closer to achieving her dream.

While students generally frequent the Clinton Farmer鈥檚 Market during the summer and at the beginning of the fall semester, few probably know the market and farming community like Haley Tietz 鈥�19, who works there every Thursday. An employee at Common Thread Community Farm based in Madison, N.Y., Tietz has spent the few months since her graduation further immersing herself in local farm life.

When most people stop by the baseball stadium over the summer, they find their seats, grab a hot dog, watch the game, and hope a foul ball flies their way. But when Justin Leigh 鈥�20 goes to the stadium, he means business. Specifically, sales business.

This summer, Kelli Mackey 鈥�20 is participating in an educational internship with St. Paul鈥檚 School. She helps teach summer boarding school students and supervises them outside of classes, developing her leadership and instruction capabilities.

A music major, Melo Albino 鈥�20 commits himself to music studies during the school year. And as an intern for Red Roof Records, a broadcasting station and record label, he鈥檚 spent the summer continuing that commitment.

Her Hamilton-funded research project took her to Belize. Savannah Kelly 鈥�21 looked at the effects of the Guatemala-Belize border dispute on Belize鈥檚 indigenous communities.

Nicholas Walters 鈥�20 spent the summer conducting research about the impact of medieval and Renaissance music on more modern pieces. With the aid of his adviser, he will write an essay that reflects his research and academic interests.

While governmental use of technology to monitor and manage citizens may seem like something straight out of an Orwellian novel, Joel Harper 鈥�21 knows that 鈥渉igh-tech tools鈥� are used by governments all around the world.
