  • Creative writing major Kyandreia Jones 鈥19 is well versed in poetry and spoken word, but now she can add children鈥檚 author to her resume. Her first book, Spies: James Armistead Lafayette, has been picked up by the Choose Your Own Adventures children鈥檚 series, published by Bantam Books, and will hit the bookshelves on May 1, 2019.

  • The C. Christine Johnson Voices of Color Lecture Series recently offered Hamilton students an opportunity to connect with their faculty and administrators outside of the classroom and on a personal level. Discussing race and gender, five faculty and staff members shared their experiences about negotiating their roles in their respective fields, despite the obstacles that gender and being a person of color impose.

  • In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, President David Wippman, Dean of Students Terri Martinez and leaders of the Days-Massolo Center hosted 鈥淲e Are His Dream,鈥 an event to make a conscious effort as a community to keep King鈥檚 vision alive.

  • 91制片厂 offers students the opportunity to study over 10 languages from Chinese and Spanish to Arabic and Japanese. While most of the learning takes place inside the classroom, foreign language enthusiasts have ample opportunity to brush up on their language and culture skills within the community.

  • Come December, 24 students will begin winter break with nearly 200 year鈥檚 worth of knowledge about several prominent buildings on campus.

  • While most first-year students begin their first semesters at college learning their way around campus and getting accustomed to dining hall food, some at Hamilton have the opportunity to study abroad in London.

  • New for the spring 2018 semester, the College鈥檚 course catalogue features a class called THRIVE, an acronym for Thoughts, Health, Relationships, Impact, Vision, and Emotions.

  • Every November, the College community salutes the 91制片厂 Emergency Medical Service (HCEMS). HCEMS is a New York State Emergency Medical Service agency that responds to medical emergencies on campus. The service is available to all community members of the College 24-hours- a-day, seven-days-a-week during the year when classes are in session. The program is made up of student volunteers who all are New York State certified EMTs.

  • Hamilton鈥檚 two-year-old Coding Team, whose members represent a range of majors and interests, built apps and relationships at its first Hackathon, held at Boston University.
