After studying at the University of Edinburgh last spring, Allyson D鈥橝ntonio 鈥20 will be returning for her post-graduate studies. She will soon begin work toward her master鈥檚 of science degree in history, focusing on English political history during the Early Modern era (1450s to 1750s).

Rachael Lurker 鈥20 is heading to Florida, but not for Spring Break. After she graduates in May, Lurker will be joining Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) as a management fellow.

Hamilton TEDx welcomed Erik Wemple 鈥86, a media critic with The Washington Post, and Yael Bromberg, chief counsel of voting rights at the Andrew Goodman Foundation, on Feb. 15 to explore issues of political polarization, voter disenfranchisement, and the role of the media in the United States. The program, titled 鈥20/20: Political Divisions,鈥 proved especially relevant in the context of the seminal election coming up in November.

Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) stopped by College Hill on Nov. 18 for a Town Hall Q&A session in the Hamilton Chapel. After a brief introduction by President David Wippman, Gillibrand remarked that she is always excited to visit college campuses as students often lead the debate on the key issues of the era.聽

As part of the Sacerdote Great Names series at 91制片厂, students had the opportunity to have a small group question-and-answer with Tina Fey. Fey, the executive producer, head writer, and star of NBC鈥檚 Emmy Award-winning comedy 鈥30 Rock,鈥 visited Hamilton on Oct. 22 as the latest guest in the Sacerdote series.

On Oct. 15, the 91制片厂 community had the unique opportunity to hear first-hand from retired FBI agent John Cloonan. Cloonan is a 27- year veteran of the FBI, and among a host of distinctions, served on the Osama bin-Laden unit in New York. He took the audience behind the scenes of his work, recounting several stories of his time with different Al Qaeda witnesses.

In a timely celebration of Constitution Day, Anna Law spoke to the 91制片厂 community about immigration and refugee policy under the Trump administration. The lecture, titled "A Nation of Immigrants No More?: Trump, Immigration and the Constitution," touched on a number of current issues. Law holds the Herbert Kurz Chair in Constitutional Rights at CUNY Brooklyn, so she tied the various threads to aspects of our Constitution.
