A historic winter season for Hamilton athletics featured record-setting achievements, national championship berths, and top individual honors.

More than 120 attendees took part in Common Ground鈥檚 first-ever student-run debate, a milestone event that was months in the making, focused on the topic, 鈥淩esolved: Environmental Protections Are More Important Than Economic Growth.鈥�

On a rare day off聽from pitching for the Vermont Mountaineers last summer, Jack Eshleman 鈥�25 was on his way to Burlington with his mom, who had traveled from their hometown in Collegeville, Pa., to watch as he played in one of the top summer baseball leagues in the country. His phone buzzed. It was former Continental baseball player John Shinn 鈥�02.

Recent renovations to the beloved Sage Rink 鈥� with more enhancements to come 鈥� promise to elevate the experience for Hamilton Hockey, their loyal fans, and the wider community, ensuring that Sage鈥檚 legacy lives on for its next century.

Crossroads 鈥� a point at which one must make a decision that could have critical and potentially lasting consequences. Like others throughout the country, this is where many on Hamilton鈥檚 campus found themselves in the weeks leading up to the November election.

On a sunny day in mid-June, Vice President for Enrollment Management Monica Inzer had a packed schedule of meetings, calls, and interviews. That鈥檚 nothing new, and neither was having John McLaughlin, associate vice president and dean of admission, join her for many of them. What was different was that these were Inzer鈥檚 final days in Siuda House before retiring on June 30, and McLaughlin, who arrived on College Hill in January 2023, was preparing to succeed her in leading Hamilton鈥檚 enrollment management division.

Fallcoming and Inauguration Weekend was a vibrant celebration of community, creativity, and tradition, as students, faculty, alumni, and guests gathered to welcome Steven Tepper as Hamilton's 21st president.

As we welcome new and returning members of our community back to College Hill, we want to offer a glimpse into what campus has been up to these past few months while many have been away. Here鈥檚 a sampling of new spaces, new faces, renamed buildings, major moves, and more.

The Class of 2024, along with a matching gift from a 2009 graduate, left its mark on Hamilton, contributing to a year of聽generosity from alumni, parents, and friends that included聽the 2023-24 Hamilton Fund exceeding its $7.3 million goal.

Since becoming the College鈥檚 21st president on July 1, President Steven Tepper has met hundreds of community members who have left a big impression on the new president, while his thoughtful questions have illustrated the energy he is bringing to his work at Hamilton.
