After developing a strong interest in public service during her time at Hamilton, Eleni Broadwell 鈥�20 has landed a position where she can fully explore that passion. The history major and government minor is working as an honors paralegal at the Federal Trade Commission.

鈥淭he motto immortalized on the Hamilton seal is 鈥楰now Thyself,鈥欌�� said Todd Franklin, professor of philosophy, at a virtual panel discussion on June 17 about the history and implications of systemic racism. 鈥淧art of knowing thyself, however, is knowing how you are situated. Now is the time to really make a concerted effort to know yourself in relation to race and the context of our nation鈥檚 racial situation.鈥�

Thanks to a Bristol Fellowship, psychology major Angelica Coutinho '20 will spend time in four countries examining how sound and music function as healing tools across cultures.

Mimi Kelly Csatlos 鈥�00 has been an educator ever since her departure from College Hill 20 years ago. Now, as academic dean and director of college counseling at Virginia Episcopal School (VES) in Lynchburg, Va., Csatlos is facing one of the biggest challenges of her career 鈥� making the switch to online learning while keeping over 250 students engaged.

After graduation, Haley Hassell 鈥�20 will begin work as an executive trainee with Ruder Finn, a public relations firm that is one of the world's largest privately owned communications agencies. After completing training, Hassell will work as an assistant account executive.

Libby Militello 鈥�22 is a student writer for the Communications Office and was spending the spring semester on Hamilton鈥檚 Program in Washington, D.C. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, she, like the rest of Hamilton鈥檚 students, was forced to return home to continue the semester remotely. In the following, Militello describes her search for an internship and how she鈥檚 adapting to her new role.
