Course Description: | A thematic course exploring five fundamental features of all biological systems, including structure and function, information flow, energy and matter, interactions, and evolution. How did sexual reproduction evolve? Why don鈥檛 all animals make clonal copies of themselves? How does sex shape selection and the evolution of plants and animals? How does sex influence human life and society? These are some of the questions this course will explore as we dive into understanding the origins of sexual reproduction across the animal tree of life. |
Comments: | Open to Seniors, Juniors, Sophomores, & 1st Years. Not open to those who took BIO 100*. Must also sign up for a BIO-100L section. |
