The Days-Massolo Multicultural Center (DMC) hosted the annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. dinner to honor the legacy of the civil right leader on Jan. 31. Some 120 students, faculty, and staff members gathered in warm celebration and remembrance of King鈥檚 impact on the civil rights movement.

On Sunday, June 25, the New York City Pride Parade took place on the streets of Manhattan, celebrating sexuality and advocating for social and political change. Among the hundreds of thousands of attendees were 32 Hamilton students on a trip organized by the Days-Massolo Center (DMC) and Gender and Sexuality Union, whose planning and funding made this opportunity possible for the second year in a row.

At the end of an hour-long conversation about politics, activism, and change, Angela Davis faced one last question: What brings you joy?

91制片厂鈥檚 C. Christine Johnson Voices of Color Lecture Series will present 鈥淎n Evening with Angela Davis,鈥� on Thursday, Feb. 23, at 6:30 p.m. in Wellin Hall in Schambach Center on campus. The event is free and open to the public.

Throughout June, members of the Hamilton community came together and celebrated Pride Month thanks to several campus events hosted by student and staff organizers.

During their four years at Hamilton, Kye Lippold 鈥�10, Geoffrey Hicks 鈥�09, Robyn Gibson 鈥�10, Amy Tannenbaum 鈥�10, Corrine Bancroft 鈥�10, Stephanie Tafur 鈥�10, and Wai Yee Poon 鈥�10 led an effort to improve the experiences of marginalized groups on campus.

Director of the Days-Massolo Center Paola Lopez and Associate Dean of Diversity & Inclusion Maria Genao-Homs recently presented at the 2021 National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) Multicultural Institute.
